Like many of our technical team, Tiffany hails from central Minnesota, and moved to the Twin Cities to join SCC. When she came, she brought great skills and experience. Tiffany has an Associate’s Degree in Computer and Voice Networking from Alexandria Technical College, and her certifications include Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. Moreover, Tiffany has worked as a support technician for an enterprise organization for several years, so she brings a knack for addressing complex technical issues with aplomb.
Helping clients by phone requires technical know-how, of course…but it also requires special skills that are especially rare with technical workers. Tiffany has them. “When a client calls in, they often in a rush to get to a meeting or reach a deadline. They didn’t plan for their computer to act up. We always do our best to resolve the issue so they can go on with life. Some users are intimidated or feel ashamed to ask questions. We answer all of their questions and try to build a rapport with our clients…and we make their day by helping when it matters most.”
Our Advantage Point Standby Server is Tiffany’s favorite technology. “It is far superior to tape backup. It allows for virtualization and automated off-site backup. It’s also easier on our clients because they don’t have to mess with loading backup tapes and cleaning tape drives. Restoring files is done easily and quickly, and without having to load tapes.”
Tiffany values being part of a talented team. “I like the wide range of knowledge that all the techs have at SCC. If I need answers, someone here has them and is always willing to lend a helping hand.”
