When you ask a network technician like Keng about his work, you might expect to hear only about the technology he works with. And make no mistake; Keng brings significant talent, training and experience to his work in these areas. Keng received his AAS degree in Computer Networking from Dunwoody College, is a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist and a WatchGuard Certified Systems Professional.
Of the many systems Keng supports, his favorite is the Cymphonix Network Composer. “I use the Cymphonix box to dedicate bandwidth to email and remote connectivity, while lowering or disabling available bandwidth for streaming music/video or file sharing. The Cymphonix appliance is by far my favorite piece of technology.”
When you get to know Keng, you soon realize that his real focus is on his relationships. “I like being able to develop a close professional relationship with clients by learning about what they do and how they use their network. When I work closely with clients, I can solve problems more efficiently.” And he values his relationships with the SCC team, as well. “Unlike any company I have ever worked in, the employees at SCC are the nicest people I have ever met and they treat clients with a professional, yet personal attitude.”
Keng is so beloved by his coworkers that Keng Day (the last Friday of June, in case you’re curious) is celebrated as a company event each year, both to honor Keng, and the spirit of good cheer that he brings to work each day. Clients are always invited to participate in the Keng Day festivities (and several do), whose activities have grown to include an annual Presidential Proclamation, a juried art competition, a potluck lunch, Keng trivia contest and more.
