Brandon is both a talented part of our engineering team, and an entrepreneurial spirit in his on right. He joined SCC in 2007, but began his career in technology in 1996 with another consulting firm. His engagement there was part of a school-to-work program with a technical institute, and his experience created a unique collaboration between Brandon and the school’s instructors, who adjusted their curriculum based on his advice.
Being consultative in that way is in Brandon’s D.N.A. “I treat every network like it was my own. When I know a company’s workflow and objectives, I can understand how issues in the network really impact a client’s productivity. But this goes beyond just knowing their systems and processes. It’s about knowing the people and the organization’s philosophy. When I get that stuff, then I know I can make recommendations that really ‘fit’ with a particular client.”
Brandon’s love for technology has impossible to miss. “I’m a geek and love all technology, so picking a favorite is a challenge. If I had to, it would be virtualization. I love figuring the best way to take 40 servers and condense into 4 or 5. It’s amazing how far the technology has come to allow for such drastic change in a company’s infrastructure.”
When you ask Brandon how he feels about his work, he’s enthusiastic. “I love the SCC family. We are all friends and have great respect for each other. Everyone cares greatly about our company and our clients. When someone becomes our client, they don’t just get a company of techs…they get a real family of experienced, caring people that want nothing more than to make everyone we work with feel part of the family. I know that sounds really cheesy, but it’s true and it’s why most of us work here.”
Couldn’t have said it better, Brandon.
